Visualize, Feel, Act: A Holistic Approach to Success

I invited transformation and spiritual coach, Karen Rudolf onto the podcast for a lively conversation about personal transformation. We explore the vital balance between visualizing goals and taking action, the expansive power of focused intention, and the emotional underpinnings that drive our sense of purpose and joy.

Karen gives an example of the self-perpetuating loop using the fear of abandonment to illustrate this cycle. we talked about how crucial it is to move beyond merely visualizing your goals. Vision boards and visualization exercises are fantastic tools, yes, but they need to be paired with concrete actions.

Along with that action is the need to incorporate emotion and feeling when setting and pursuing goals. Give yourself permission to feel deeply and stay connected with those feelings of purpose and joy. It can be a game-changer.

Your energy and mindset significantly impact your decision-making processes. Our minds are wired to keep us safe and comfortable, which sometimes means resisting change even when it’s beneficial. Learning to manage this and push through is key to making progress.

Additionally as you set your sights on your goals, pay attention to your words. Words are poweful. They shape our mindsets and manifest our outcomes. Negative words can subtly influence how we perceive our capabilities and potential. So, let’s redefine realistic and stretch ourselves into new fields of possibility.

We outline an exercise on the show, where you list what you don’t want and flip it to discover what you truly desire. It’s amazing how focusing on the positive can align your actions and thoughts toward achieving those goals.

Karen Rudolf has an incredibly calming presence, which she’s achieved by practicing being in the present moment and paying attention to her intuitive hits and nudges. While its helpful to stay focused and present, it’s impossible to ignore past experiences and how they shape our current behaviors and beliefs. Both Karen and I shared our childhood stories to illustrate how past events linger in our subconscious, influencing us in ways we might not even realize and quite often leading us to sabotage our relationships, success, or finances.

We talked about forgiveness—not as an excuse for others’ actions but as a path to liberating ourselves from past pain. Karen’s own story of forgiving her mother for abuse was deeply moving and highlighted the importance of taking responsibility for our own healing.

Shifting away from a victim mentality towards recognizing one’s value is paramount. Karen’s “nursing from the inside out” approach is all about healing oneself first to serve others better.

When you shift your focus to internal healing rather than external achievements you transform your life from the inside out, and that is when things align in your favor and your success – in all areas of life – becomes inevitable.
